Audi Warns of Used-Car Scam in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
What Happened
Audi is warning of a scam in the used-car trade in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Fraudulent websites and fake catalogs are offering used Audi models at low prices to lure customers into making payments for nonexistent vehicles. The scammers use fake email addresses, phone numbers, and bank details, and have even used images of actual Audi sales partner employees.
AUDI AG has filed a criminal complaint and is cooperating with authorities. Affected customers are urged to inform the police.
