What Happened
N-Dream, the company behind the in-car gaming platform AirConsole, is entering India for the first time, debuting exclusively with the Sierra.ev from Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV). AirConsole is offered as a premium feature within TMPV's connected services pack, inside the Arcade App within the Sierra.ev's triple-screen setup. Unlike casting-based solutions, AirConsole is built natively into the vehicle, leveraging its screens, audio and spatial layout to create an immersive shared experience that the company says is not possible on a phone or tablet alone.
Getting started takes seconds: passengers scan a QR code on the car's screen to connect their smartphone as a controller, so no extra hardware and no setup are needed. The experience is designed to be picked up instantly with no learning curve and to be enjoyed across generations, whether by a grandparent, a parent or a child in the backseat. At launch, approximately 15 games span casual genres from trivia to action to party games.
“India is one of the fastest-growing automotive markets in the world. Experiencing the Sierra.ev's launch event in Mumbai where AirConsole was so prominently featured, made our team proud. To see our gaming platform in the vehicle alongside other premium offerings, was a clear testament of how entertainment and passenger experiences are becoming paramount for consumer choice. TMPV is moving at a pace that few in this market can match right now, and this partnership with AirConsole will enable gaming to be part of that momentum.”
“The Sierra has always been an icon, and with the Sierra.ev, we have elevated that legacy for an electric era. Bringing AirConsole's in-car gaming experience to the Sierra.ev redefines what connected, immersive technology can add to the ownership experience. As the first vehicle in India to offer this capability, we are delighted to partner with AirConsole to deliver an entirely new dimension of entertainment and engagement for our customers.”
- Approximately 15 games are available at launch, spanning trivia, action and party genres.
- The headline title is Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Indian version of the globally known Who Wants To Be A Millionaire gameshow.

- In India it has long brought families together on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
- In the car, phones become buzzers and the Sierra's displays become the stage.
