All-Electric Porsche Macan Tackles Dangerous Morecambe Bay Crossing

What Happened
The official British government map warns of danger on Morecambe Bay, a vast 310 sq km area of shifting sands exposed at low tide. The all-electric Porsche Macan, equipped with all-wheel drive and an optional off-road design package, crossed approximately 15 km of the seabed under the guidance of Michael Wilson, the 26th King's Guide to the Sands. The crossing was slow and careful, avoiding wildlife and hazards like quicksand and tidal channels.
“It can be very dangerous out there if you don’t know what you’re doing. There have been tragedies on the sands all through recorded history, and they sadly still happen when people venture out on their own. But I don’t think anyone has ever lost their life in 500 years when the King’s Guide was present.”
