What Happened
The BMW 328 'Bügelfalte' from 1937 won the 'Best of Show' award at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2026, receiving the Trofeo BMW Group. The unique roadster, named after its distinctive metal edging, is the only special roadster produced at the Munich plant. Its owner, Stefano Martinoli, also received a special A. Lange & Söhne 1815 CHRONOGRAPH timepiece.
BMW presented two world premieres at the event. The Vision BMW ALPINA is a 2+2-seat coupe with a V8 engine and four elliptical exhaust tailpipes. The BMW Motorrad Vision K18 is a motorcycle with a 1,800 cc six-cylinder in-line engine, designed around the theme 'The Heat of Speed'.
