What Happened

BMW M Motorsport teams have enjoyed a successful week of racing, with podium finishes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, GT World Challenge Asia, and the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The highlight was the podium for Neil Verhagen and Connor De Phillippi at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, while the BMW M3 Touring 24H thrilled crowds at Goodwood with a class win and fifth-fastest overall time.

At the IMSA round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Verhagen and De Phillippi finished third in the GTD PRO class in the #1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, extending their championship lead with a third podium in six races. Verhagen also claimed his second IMSA pole position at the same track. In the GTD class, Robby Foley and Patrick Gallagher finished third in the #96 BMW M4 GT3 EVO for Turner Motorsport, giving BMW M Motorsport a double podium. In the Michelin Pilot Challenge, Austin Krainz and Steven McAleer finished second in the #27 BMW M4 GT4 EVO.

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the BMW M3 Touring 24H made a spectacular appearance, driven by BMW M works driver Jordan Pepper. He recorded a time of 46.54 seconds in the hillclimb, the fifth-fastest overall, and won his class. Pepper described the car as a fan favorite and an icon in endurance racing history.

In GT World Challenge Asia at Fuji, Max Hesse and Cunfan Ruan finished third in the Pro-Am class in both races in the #89 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, earning a double podium. In the Silver-Am class, Maxime Oosten and Brian Lee won both races in the #10 BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Additionally, BMW M Team Studie finished eighth and tenth in the Pro-Am class with a special BLEACH-inspired livery.

  • GT4 Italy Series: Giacomo Maman and Gustavo Sandrucci won both races in the #16 BMW M4 GT4 EVO; Luca Esposito and Sebastian Gavazza finished third on Sunday.
  • 24H Series: Michael Bonk, Claudia Hürtgen, Elia Weiss, and Martin Kroll won the GT4 class at the 12H Nürburgring.
  • ADAC GT Masters: Leyton Fourie and Tim Zimmermann finished third in the opening race at the Nürburgring in the #11 BMW M4 GT3 EVO.
  • International GT Open: Antal Zsigo and Csaba Walter finished third in the Pro-Am class in Race 2 at the Hungaroring.
