Busscar delivers custom Panorâmico DD NB1 double-decker to Grupo CMW fleet

Busscar has handed a custom-specified Panorâmico DD NB1 double-decker coach to Grupo CMW of Bragança Paulista, seating 64 passengers on a Volvo B510R 8×2 Euro 6 chassis.

What Happened

Grupo CMW, based in Bragança Paulista (SP), is expanding its fleet with a Panorâmico DD NB1 from Busscar, developed to match the characteristics of its operation. The customized configuration brings together solutions for comfort, technology, safety and operational efficiency, which Busscar says reinforces both companies' commitment to excellence in long-distance passenger transport. The model was built on the Volvo B510R 8×2 chassis with Euro 6 technology, which the manufacturer says combines robustness, operational efficiency and a low level of emissions. Alongside passenger benefits, the coach adds features intended to make operation easier, such as luggage holds with pneumatic locking and electronic activation, an easily accessible electrical center for maintenance, and bipartite external mirrors with electric adjustment and a defroster.

Seating and interior comfort
  • Class Leito Turismo seats specified to raise comfort on long-distance routes
  • Viscoelastic foam that adapts to the passenger's body and reduces the feeling of fatigue over the trip
  • Extra head support, leg and foot rests, plus a retractable lateral armrest next to the aisle
  • Retractable safety belts for every passenger
  • Finishes combining selected fabrics and high-quality materials for a pleasant touch, durability and easy upkeep

One of the configuration's main differentiators is an exclusive VIP Sala conceived as a reserved environment inside the vehicle, with a sofa, a retractable table, a dedicated entertainment system, an exclusive monitor and individual USB-A and USB-C sockets. LED lighting with chromotherapy allows different light scenarios to be created, adjusting the atmosphere to each moment of the journey. The sensation of well-being is extended by saloons 1.80 meters high that give more room and ease passenger movement, and by a driver's cabin described as one of the widest in the category, designed for more ergonomics and comfort for the crew. Climate control with hot and cold air conditioning, an anti-pollen filter and constant air renewal through two sunroofs keeps temperatures balanced, while acoustic insulation and LED lighting distributed across both decks create a quiet environment.

Convenience and onboard technology
  • Individual USB-A and USB-C sockets at every seat, plus a Wi-Fi router
  • Multimedia system with screen mirroring for Android and iOS smartphones
  • Digital TV receivers and monitors distributed through the saloons and the VIP Sala
  • Digital displays with passenger information
  • Restroom with smoke detector, refrigerated furniture, strategically placed fridges and functional compartments
  • Rest bed and a Leito seat for the second driver in the cabin
Safety and accessibility equipment
  • Internal and external cameras with image recording
  • Reversing aid camera
  • Parking sensors and an audible alarm for maneuvers
  • Intercom between areas and an emergency button in the restroom
  • Wheelchair lift, reserved spaces and tactile identification to meet accessibility requirements
“Every configuration we develop is the result of working together with the client. In this project, we succeeded in bringing together solutions that enhance the passenger experience and offer even more efficiency for Grupo CMW's operation.”
— Paulo Corso, Commercial Director at Busscar

Previously from Busscar

Busscar has recently delivered six Panorâmico DD NB1 double-deckers to the operator Viação Piracicabana, pairing 46 upper-level and 8 lower-level seats with custom liveries and driver-assistance technology. In September 2026 the manufacturer also marked its 80th year by expanding its NB1 family with four new coaches — Panorâmico 410, El Buss 325L, El Buss 325 and El Buss FT — aimed at tourism and charter.

Why this matters

The delivery shows how much of a coach can be tailored to a single operator's route and passenger profile, from seating and a private VIP lounge to accessibility equipment. For Grupo CMW, which is based in Bragança Paulista (SP) and is expanding its fleet, the vehicle is aimed at long-distance road transport; for Busscar, it is another custom build for an operator customer.
