Hero’s Glamour X gains ABS and linked braking in new top variant

The Glamour X 125 now comes in a new configuration combining single-channel ABS with linked braking, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi.

New variant price
Rs 1.01 lakh
Engine output
11.4 BHP
Engine capacity
125cc

What Happened

The new Glamour X variant combines a single-channel anti-lock braking system with linked front-and-rear braking. This safety package is the motorcycle’s main change; the existing engine, cruise control and three ride modes continue.

The 125cc air-cooled engine produces 11.4 BHP, while the existing Drum and Disc versions remain available at Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999. The ABS-equipped model is offered at Rs 1.01 lakh, with all prices ex-showroom Delhi.

What changes
  • Single-channel ABS added
  • Integrated front-and-rear braking retained with the new safety hardware
  • Two existing variants continue alongside the new version
  • Cruise control and Eco, Road and Power modes remain

Why this matters

The update brings a braking feature that was missing from Hero’s feature-heavy 125cc commuter into a higher-priced version of the range. It puts the model alongside other 125cc motorcycles that already offer ABS.

Terms in This Story

ABS
Anti-lock braking system, which helps prevent a wheel from locking under hard braking.
IBS
Integrated Braking System, which links braking action at the front and rear of the motorcycle.
