What Happened
Triumph Motorcycles India has trimmed prices on two models in its 400cc line ahead of the festive season. The Speed 400 is now listed at Rs 2.34 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, down Rs 6,000, while the Tracker 400 falls Rs 7,000 to Rs 2.42 lakh. The company says the revised pricing took effect immediately. No other model in the family received a cash reduction.
- Rs 6,000 lower, now Rs 2.34 lakh
- Rs 7,000 lower, now Rs 2.42 lakh
- A complimentary accessory package worth Rs 6,500
- The kit contains a flyscreen
- It also adds a tank pad and knee guards
Only the Scrambler 400 X picks up any change elsewhere in the range. It keeps its Rs 2.65 lakh ex-showroom tag and gains a two-tone colour option that pairs Matt Pewter Grey with Matt Khaki Green, with nothing altered mechanically or in its feature list. The entry-level Speed T4 is untouched at Rs 2.09 lakh ex-showroom.
The whole 400cc family rolls out of Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant in Maharashtra. That factory supplies both Indian buyers and export markets.
Why this matters
The reductions matter most to Indian buyers shopping during the festive period, since both single-cylinder roadster models become cheaper to buy right away. The free accessories sweeten only the Speed 400, while the Scrambler 400 X and the entry-level Speed T4 keep their existing prices.
