Bugatti Creates One-of-a-Kind W16 Mistral 'La Perle Rare' with Bespoke Pearl-Inspired Design

The story began in August 2023 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where Bugatti Sur Mesure chief Jascha Straub met the client. Together they developed a theme inspired by Bugatti's 'Vagues de Lumière' paint technique, leading to a pearl-inspired design. The car's body is split into two custom shades: a warm golden hue on the upper surfaces and refined warm white below, both developed after extensive research and iterative adjustments.

The interior mirrors the exterior with carbon-fiber elements painted white and gold trim lines on door panels. Ambient lighting with warm tones enhances the pearl theme. Hand-polished aluminum accents appear on the steering wheel, console dials, and door handles. A unique 'La Perle Rare' signature, handwritten by Jascha Straub, is embroidered on the center tunnel, engraved on the engine cover, and painted under the rear wing. The iconic Rembrandt Bugatti 'Dancing Elephant' sculpture appears on the gear lever and behind the front wheels, linking modern personalization with the brand's heritage.
