Busscar delivers two Vissta Buss 365 NB1 coaches to Rápido Brasil for São Paulo coastal routes

What Happened

Busscar delivered two units of its Vissta Buss 365 NB1 to Viação Rápido Brasil of São Paulo. The coaches are destined for operations serving Santos, São Vicente and Guarujá, and Busscar says they combine solutions that raise passenger comfort and safety while matching the customer's needs with technology and efficiency. Rápido Brasil has an established role in São Paulo road transport, especially on coastal links, and receives a model built for medium and long distances. The Vissta Buss 365 NB1 is internationally recognised with the iF Design Award and stands out for its design and for solutions that favour a differentiated travel experience.

The cabin holds 46 Class Leito Turismo seats with viscoelastic foam, leg rests, footrests with rockers, retractable lateral armrests and retractable seat belts. Individual cup holders add practicality, while upholstery selected in Rápido Brasil's colours personalises the interior and reinforces the customer's visual identity. To improve well-being on board, the coaches have air conditioning with an anti-pollen filter and air renewal, plus two sunroofs that also provide air renewal, along with acoustic insulation. A cabinet with a refrigeration system and a 42-litre refrigerator complete the configuration.

Passenger amenities on board
  • Individual dual USB-A and USB-C outlets at each parcel rack
  • Display indicating when the restroom is occupied
  • Audio system with six speakers
  • LED interior lighting

Safety features work both on prevention and on supporting the driver. A blocking system prevents the coach from starting with the doors open and stops service doors from opening above 5 km/h. Telemetry allows the vehicle's information to be monitored and supports more efficient and safer fleet management. A rear parking sensor with visual and audible alerts, a reverse gear alarm and mirrors with a demister give the driver additional support. In the luggage bays, electronic locks, an indicator on the panel for an unlocked lid and protective grilles add safety and practicality.

Both units are built on Mercedes-Benz O-500 RS Euro 6 chassis. In the driver's station the seat has pneumatic damping, a headrest, a three-point seat belt and forced ventilation, plus air conditioning with heating. LED headlights favour visibility and luminous efficiency, complemented by front and rear fog lights. Accessibility equipment includes a wheelchair lift, two reserved seats, tactile identification and call buttons with audible and visual alerts on the driver's panel. The restroom brings together an odourising system, an air-conditioning diffuser and an emergency button with audible and visual signalling in the cabin.

“This delivery reinforces Rápido Brasil's confidence in BUSSCAR and our ability to offer solutions aligned with each operation, with comfort, safety and technology for a differentiated travel experience.”

Previously from Busscar

Busscar recently handed a Vissta Buss 365 NB1 coach to CMW Transportes of Bragança Paulista, configured with 46 tourism-class seats for that operator's touring business. The manufacturer also delivered four Panorâmico DD NB1 coaches to Viação Piracicabana for regular road transport, combining two seating classes with onboard technology, comfort and safety systems.

Why this matters

The delivery puts new long-distance coaches with accessibility equipment, driver-assistance systems and passenger amenities onto a busy São Paulo coastal corridor. Riders on those routes get features such as a wheelchair lift, reserved seating and individual power outlets, while operator Rápido Brasil adds capacity for medium and long-distance trips.
