Engine of the Year for 6th consecutive year
What Happened
Donkervoort has announced that it will continue production of the D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition after the limited one-off version drew massive demand. The first unit was built for a Swiss enthusiast, and the last D8 GTO Bilster Berg Edition sold last month. The second Bare Naked Carbon Edition has already left the factory in the Netherlands, destined for Belgium.
The Bare Naked Carbon Edition emphasizes the D8 GTO's high-tech, ultra-light nature with visible carbon fiber inside and out. The exterior features visible carbon fiber from nose to rear, while the interior includes carbon fiber seats, door panels, and dashboard. A unique hand-applied UV coating in matte or gloss finish saves five kilograms compared to traditional paint.
