What Happened
Einride is deploying electric heavy-duty trucks on Scan Sverige's critical refrigerated route between Linköping and Eskilstuna, approximately 160 kilometers. The trucks can handle a 64-tonne gross combined weight and will replace conventional diesel trucks on a route that accounts for about 25% of Scan Sverige's refrigerated outbound volume from its Linköping distribution center. Charging is integrated into daily operations using depot and opportunity charging during driver rest periods.

By replacing diesel trucks on the Linköping–Eskilstuna corridor.
“At Scan Sverige, transitioning our transportation is an important part of our long-term efforts to achieve our climate targets. Electrifying the route between Linköping and Eskilstuna enables us to continue reducing emissions and contribute to the development of fossil-free transport.”
Why this matters
This partnership demonstrates that electric trucks can replace diesel in demanding refrigerated logistics, cutting emissions and proving fossil-free freight is viable for critical supply chains.
