What Happened

The final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship takes place at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, which hosts the second Italian round of the 2026 calendar after the opening round at Imola. Ferrari fields two 499Ps through the official Ferrari – AF Corse team and one entered by the privateer team AF Corse. The Monza 6 Hours starts on Sunday 8 November at 11:00 a.m. local time.

Ferrari arrives at the fast Lombardy circuit with one win this season, taken by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen at Lone Star Le Mans at COTA in September. The same crew added third places at Spa-Francorchamps and Barcelona, while reigning world champions Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi finished second at Imola and São Paulo. Those three also secured Ferrari's two pole positions so far, in Italy and the United States of America.

  • Manufacturers: Ferrari third on 130 points, 82 behind the leaders
  • Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen: sixth on 69 points

Plus one point for pole position, which makes the finale decisive for Ferrari's best possible result of second in the manufacturers' standings.

Inaugurated in 1922, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza sits inside one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe and is the oldest permanent circuit still in operation in Italy. It has hosted the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix every year since the World Championship was established in 1950, with the exception of 1980, and is also closely linked to endurance and GT racing. For only the second time since the 499P's competitive debut, the FIA WEC visits Monza, after the 6 Hours held in July 2023, less than a month after Ferrari's historic victory at the Centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans with the number 51 499P.

Monza 6 Hours weekend schedule (local times)

Why this matters

The Monza 6 Hours is the season-decider, worth 25 points to the winner plus one for pole, so Ferrari's final championship position in both the manufacturers' and drivers' tables will be settled in front of its home crowd, the Italian Tifosi. Ferrari can realistically reach second in the manufacturers' standings, while the number 50 crew is still in contention for third in the drivers' table.
