What Happened

Hero MotoCorp, which describes itself as the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, announced the launch of the Glamour X with Integrated-ABS from New Delhi. The company says the Glamour X is the first motorcycle in the 125cc segment to offer Single-Channel ABS paired with an Integrated Braking System (IBS). Hero claims the combination drastically improves vehicle stability and reduces braking distance, and says the move reinforces its push to democratize advanced technology for riders.

“The 125cc segment is witnessing a rapid evolution, with customers increasingly demanding a blend of contemporary styling, advanced technology and uncompromised safety. The Glamour X has already disrupted this space with category-first features including Ride Modes and Cruise Control. By introducing first-in-segment integrated ABS, we are not just upgrading a motorcycle; we are reshaping the safety standards for the entire category. This launch strengthens our portfolio and offers intelligent, future-ready mobility solutions that empower the new-age Indian rider.”

The Glamour X 125 arrives with a muscular, sculpted design language that Hero says is crafted for riders who want their motorcycle to command attention. A Full LED Lighting Package with an 'H' Signature and sporty graphics give it a distinctive on-road presence. Inside the cockpit sits a 10.7 cm adaptive multi-colour console with ambient lighting and over 60 features, including Gear Shift Advisory, Distance-to-Empty and a Real-Time Mileage Indicator. Previously from Hero MotoCorp

Our earlier coverage reported that the Glamour X 125 had gained a new top variant combining single-channel ABS with linked braking, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. Today's launch announcement extends that same ABS-equipped Glamour X offering to Hero MotoCorp dealerships nationwide.

Background drawn from MotorClaw's earlier coverage of Hero MotoCorp's official releases.

Why this matters

Single-channel ABS combined with integrated braking has until now been the kind of safety hardware seen higher up the market, so bringing it to a 125cc commuter at Rs 1.01 lakh ex-showroom puts advanced braking within reach of mainstream Indian buyers. Hero says the setup improves stability and shortens braking distance, and the company frames the launch as a new benchmark that reshapes safety standards for the whole 125cc category.

Terms in This Story

ABS
Anti-lock Braking System - a safety system that stops the wheels from locking under hard braking so the rider keeps control.
Integrated Braking System (IBS)
A setup that links the front and rear brakes so applying one brake also engages the other for more balanced stopping.
Single-channel ABS
An anti-lock braking system that controls only one wheel's brake, typically the front, rather than both.
NVH
Noise, Vibration and Harshness - the measures of how quiet and smooth a vehicle feels to its occupants or rider.
