What Happened
Charles Leclerc arrived at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya keen to move on after the Monaco weekend and focus on the opportunities ahead. The Monegasque driver is eager to get back behind the wheel of the SF-26 and believes development will play a decisive role in the remainder of the season.
“The only thing I’m looking forward to is getting back in the car tomorrow and putting Monaco behind me. My priority this weekend will be to gain confidence with the new brake set-up we’ve decided to adopt, as well as to test the aero upgrades the team has brought here to Spain.”
Leclerc praised the team for continually pushing forward on the development front and welcomed the agreed changes to the future power unit regulations, believing they will allow drivers to push harder, particularly in qualifying.
“There’s a lot you can learn from a seven-time World Champion. It’s not just about driving, but also about the approach, the way he works and communicates with the team. After all, Formula 1 is very much a team sport for much of the time.”
