Lexus Refreshes NX With More Electric Range and a Cleaner Cabin
Lexus has updated the NX with revised styling, a cleaner cabin and a larger plug-in-hybrid battery that lifts claimed electric range beyond 100 kilometers.

What Happened
The second-generation NX receives a mid-cycle update with a frameless spindle grille, revised LED lighting and illuminated Lexus lettering at the rear. Wheel sizes range from 18 to 20 inches, depending on market and trim.
Inside, Lexus replaces several physical controls with touch-sensitive switches and moves the drive-mode selector to a toggle. A 12.3-inch driver display, 14-inch central screen and updated LexusConnect system are standard across the trim range, with higher grades adding ventilated seats, a head-up display and a Mark Levinson audio option.
The NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid now combines its 2.5-litre petrol engine with a 23-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, up from 18kWh. Lexus claims more than 100 kilometers of electric-only range, 307hp and 10-to-80 percent DC charging in 30 minutes.
The 350h strong hybrid remains available with 199hp, while the updated 450h+ adds a 1,500-watt AC outlet. Lexus has not yet set an Indian launch date for the facelift; the current NX 350h sells in India from Rs 67.59 lakh to Rs 74.50 lakh ex-showroom.
Why this matters
The refresh moves Lexus's core SUV further into the plug-in-hybrid transition while keeping a conventional strong-hybrid option. The changes also show how the brand is revising its premium-cabin controls without changing the NX's basic market position.
