What Happened
MAN Truck & Bus is continuing to expand its European service network and has opened a new service center in Kaunas, Lithuania, together with the Adampolis Group, its official importer in the country. With more than 7,000 square meters of usable space and capacity for more than 1,300 vehicles per month, the site is one of MAN's largest service centers in Europe. The Adampolis Group invested more than 20 million euros, which MAN says underlines the long-term strategic commitment of both partners. The location brings sales, service, maintenance, repairs and spare parts supply together in one place and is equipped with modern workshop and diagnostic technology to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize fleet availability. It also has the infrastructure needed to service battery-electric vehicles and other alternative drive technologies, including its own charging and building systems.

Kaunas is one of the most important logistics locations in the Baltics, connecting markets in Central and Eastern Europe with Scandinavia and benefiting from major infrastructure projects such as Rail Baltica and the expansion of intermodal logistics hubs. The investment comes as e-mobility gains significant momentum in Lithuania: public transport operator Vilniaus viešasis transportas (VVT) recently placed the country's largest electric bus order to date, for 112 MAN Lion's City E buses. The new Kaunas service center was designed specifically around the requirements of electric drivetrains. Adampolis has been an MAN partner in Lithuania since the 1990s and has developed into one of the leading commercial vehicle groups in the Baltics.
“These investments are unprecedented in their scale in the history of MAN. Together with our partners we will be able to serve our customers even better in the coming years. The new service center in Kaunas shows how consistently we are developing our network — with high capacity, modern technology and a clear focus on our customers' requirements.”
“For us this investment is about far more than additional service capacity or a new building. As MAN's official importer in Lithuania, we carry the responsibility that our customers can rely on professional support throughout the entire life cycle of their vehicles. After more than three decades of partnership with MAN we share the same conviction: the future of the transport industry is built on strong service, faster response times and the ability to support new technologies. This new service center turns that shared long-term commitment into concrete added value for our customers.”
Previously from MAN Truck & Bus
MAN has recently been expanding its electric vehicle line-up. In September 2026 the manufacturer unveiled a new eTGX electric truck for heavy long-haul transport at IAA Transportation 2026, pairing a longer aerodynamic front and a new battery generation with megawatt charging for up to 720 kilometres of range.

Why this matters
The Kaunas site is one of MAN's largest service centers in Europe and is already equipped to maintain battery-electric vehicles and other alternative drive technologies, so fleets in the Baltics can be serviced locally as electric transport grows. It is also the latest step in a Europe-wide service investment program worth hundreds of millions of euros, affecting MAN's customers, its importer partners and their employees across the region.
