What Happened
Opel will present several Swiss public premieres at the 2026 Auto Zürich show, which opens with a media day on November 4 and runs for the public from November 5 to 8. The centrepiece is the Opel STX Concept, a visionary study from Rüsselsheim that has just celebrated its world premiere in Paris and looks ahead to the design of technically advanced estate cars. Alongside it, the GSE 27FE Formula E GEN4 racing car and the new all-electric Corsa GSE hot hatch make their Swiss debuts, while the Zafira Gaming Van bridges the real and digital worlds. Everything is on display at the Opel stand in Hall 2.
- Opel STX Concept — visionary Sports Tourer study, fresh from its world premiere in Paris
- Opel GSE 27FE — GEN4 Formula E racing car with over 800 hp for the championship Opel joins from the coming season
- Opel Corsa GSE — 207 kW (281 hp) all-electric hot hatch, already available to order
- Opel Zafira Gaming Van — GSE-styled mobile gaming lounge with Gran Turismo 7 and the 588 kW (800 hp) Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, plus Riders Republic for snowboard fans
- Opel Grandland Electric AWD — Opel's first all-electric model with all-wheel drive
- Opel Astra Sports Tourer — the compact-class bestseller — and the rugged Frontera family SUV
“Just how dynamic and exciting can cars be today? We'll give you the answer at Auto Zürich. The Opel GSE 27FE promises all-electric high performance and thrilling Formula E racing very soon. But we're bringing that GSE feeling to the road: the Mokka GSE led the way, and now the new Corsa GSE is following in its footsteps. With the STX Concept, we're already showing how we envisage the estate car design of tomorrow. And there's much more to experience at the Opel stand in hall 2. Do pop round and discover what GSE really means.”
The STX Concept is Opel's bold vision of the electric estate of tomorrow, combining German engineering, emotional design and intelligent technologies. It continues Opel's long tradition as an estate pioneer in Europe and clearly relates to the Sports Tourer models with the Blitz, such as the latest Astra Sports Tourer, through the ST abbreviation. Its styling marks the next step of Opel's design philosophy — even bolder, purer, more emotional and more efficient — visible in a more striking Opel Vizor with light animations in curved lamellas, a steeply sloping rear and flush, precise lines with a technical appearance. An active aerodynamic system adapts continuously to the driving situation, using moving elements at the rear to optimise airflow, reduce drag and improve stability, and Opel says the study already contains elements of future Opel models.

Faster than any other current production Opel, according to the manufacturer.
The Corsa GSE pairs a lowered sports chassis with 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Newton metres of torque — matching the electric output of the Mokka GSE, winner of the 2025 Golden Steering Wheel — and reaches 180 km/h on a clear German Autobahn. An active sports sound developed exclusively for the new Corsa GSE accompanies the drive depending on acceleration and speed. The GSE 27FE is the GEN4 race car for the Formula E World Championship that Opel joins from the coming season, with permanent all-wheel drive, over 800 hp and recuperation output of up to 700 kW. Its final livery carries the Opel Compass prominently at the front and develops the GSE design language introduced with the Mokka GSE Rally from a rugged rally look into a visual world designed for high-tech, high-speed Formula E.

Previously from Opel Automobile GmbH
Motorclaw reported on 27 October that Carwow Germany's editorial team had crowned the all-electric Opel Corsa GSE its 'fun-to-drive car' of 2027, handing the hot hatch its first major accolade. The same model now travels to Zurich for its Swiss show premiere alongside the rest of Opel's GSE line-up.

Why this matters
Auto Zürich gives Swiss media and show visitors their first in-person look at the design direction Opel says previews its future models and at the growing GSE performance line, which now spans a rally-derived look, a Formula E racer and road cars. Because the Corsa GSE is already available to order, the show also puts an orderable model directly in front of Swiss visitors.
