What Happened
Renault India has formally begun commercial deliveries of the turbocharged Triber across domestic dealerships, establishing entry pricing at Rs 7.84 lakh and topping out at Rs 8.99 lakh. Depending on specification trim, the forced-induction variant commands a Rs 94,000 to Rs 1.11 lakh price premium above comparable naturally aspirated models.

Propulsion comes from the three-cylinder 1.0-litre HR10 petrol powerplant shared with the Kiger crossover. Calibrated through updated engine control firmware, peak torque increases to 180Nm while maintaining maximum output at 100hp.
Shifting is handled exclusively through a 5-speed manual transaxle at debut, with a continuously variable transmission scheduled for future release.
Why this matters
The forced-induction 1.0-litre HR10 engine addresses long-standing power deficit criticisms of the naturally aspirated budget MPV, delivering 180Nm of torque via revised engine management mapping. It enters the value MPV space with a standard five-speed manual gearbox ahead of a planned CVT automatic rollout.
