What Happened
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled Project Nightingale, a Coachbuild Collection named after Le Rossignol (French for nightingale), the house near Henry Royce's winter home on the Côte d'Azur. This open-top two-seat motor car introduces a dramatic new expression of Rolls-Royce design, drawing inspiration from high-speed experimental 'EX' models of the 1920s. It is constructed using the Rolls-Royce Architecture of Luxury aluminium spaceframe and features a fully electric drivetrain for a near-silent experience.
“Some of the most discerning Rolls-Royce clients in the world asked us for our most ambitious work. We responded by bringing three things together that have never coexisted within our brand: the complete design freedom of coachbuilding, our powerful, near-silent all-electric powertrain, and a uniquely potent yet serene expression of open-top motoring.”
Rolls-Royce creates experimental 16EX and 17EX models that inspire Project Nightingale.
Global testing and validation programme commences.
Client deliveries begin for the 100-unit limited run.

Only 100 client motor cars will be hand-built at Goodwood.
