Skoda adds a Sportline grade to its Kylaq SUV in India from Rs 11.32 lakh
Skoda has introduced a sportier Sportline version of its Kylaq compact SUV in India, with the manual starting at Rs 11.32 lakh, ex-showroom.
- Rs 11.32 lakh (MT) / Rs 12.32 lakh (AT)
- 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol
- 7
What Happened
The new grade slots in as the seventh in the range, asking Rs 11.32 lakh with the manual and Rs 12.32 lakh for the automatic. It keeps the familiar 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol, offered with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed self-shifter, so the change here is one of dress rather than drive.
- Darkened mirror caps, diffusers, 17-inch black wheels, a two-tone floating roof and blacked tailgate lettering
- Sportline badging, LED projector headlamps and a boot-lid spoiler
- A dark cabin with leatherette seats, aluminium pedals, an electric sunroof and wireless charging
- A 25.6cm touchscreen and a 20.32cm digital cluster
Buyers can dress it further with a Sportline accessory kit. Lower in the range, the Classic and Classic+ pick up automatic climate control and a rear demister. Every Kylaq keeps six airbags and its five-star Bharat NCAP score, and the car is covered by Skoda's Super Care plan of a four-year warranty, four years of roadside help and four cost-free services.
The range now runs to seven grades in all, topped by the Prestige+. Skoda India credits the Kylaq with lifting its sales through 2025 and into the first half of this year, and frames the addition as a look-focused option for buyers who want the same underpinnings.
Why this matters
The Kylaq has been Skoda's volume mainstay in India, and a styling-led Sportline gives the maker a seventh grade to broaden the SUV's reach without altering its mechanicals. The brand has also padded out lower trims with more equipment.
