Why this matters
Suzuki's growth is increasingly made outside Japan: record Indian production and wholesales drove both the September month and the April–September half to records, while Japanese minivehicle sales fell. That matters for the buyers and workers tied to Suzuki's overseas plants, including in India, Pakistan and other markets, and for competitors in those regions.
