Volkswagen has turned the ID.3 into a GTI performance model powered by a single motor on the rear axle. The electric hatchback is rated at 326hp and 545Nm, with a claimed 5.6-second run from standstill to 100kph.
Energy comes from a 79kWh pack that accepts up to 183kW of DC charging; Volkswagen estimates a 10-80 percent session at roughly 29 minutes. The GTI is due to open for customer bookings in early 2027.
