What Happened
Caterham has produced a new Miami Special Edition Seven, based on the Seven R, which will be unveiled on Friday 1st May at the Miami International Autodrome. The car features bespoke Aqua paint with Vibrant Pink and White decals, plus Miami script and circuit silhouette on the rear. Inside, the Miami script is embroidered on headrests, and each car has a numbered dashboard plaque and a second plaque in the engine bay signed by the two builders who hand-assembled the car in the UK.
The track-only Seven is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine producing 210 bhp and mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds and reaches 136 mph, with a power-to-weight ratio of 375 bhp per tonne.
