- RAKUPITA SOGEI welfare and nursing care transportation management system; GOISSHO welfare and nursing care shared pick-up/drop-off service
- e-Atrai mini commercial battery electric vehicle van
- Help ease the shortage of welfare and nursing care workers in local communities
- Ensure that people who have difficulty getting around have access to transportation
The e-Atrai will take part in demonstrations in which the van's external power supply function is used to power communication devices and electrical appliances. Through this, Daihatsu says it is showing how electrified vehicles can be useful in many everyday situations. The two care services, RAKUPITA SOGEI and GOISSHO, are presented as services rather than vehicles, addressing transportation management and shared pick-up and drop-off for welfare and nursing care.
Daihatsu says it has long supported customers' daily lives and work through its compact cars, based on a corporate philosophy of staying close to its customers and enriching their lives. It notes that many communities now face the same challenges: how to keep supporting everyday mobility, and how to prepare for emergencies such as disasters. To address these, the company says it is advancing initiatives that go beyond vehicles themselves to include mobility services and ways of using vehicles, and that it will continue contributing to sustainable communities where everyone can live and remain active with peace of mind.
Previously from Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.
Daihatsu has been showing its care-mobility lineup elsewhere just days earlier: it announced it would display its Tanto Friendship Series welfare vehicles, the e-SNEAKER walking-area mobility device and two care-transport services at H.C.R. 2026 in Tokyo. The company also published its DAIHATSU Sustainability Report 2026, which added employee stories from the e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai mini commercial BEV vans launched in February 2026 — the same e-Atrai model it is now bringing to the Kyoto expo.

Why this matters
The two services are meant to ease the shortage of welfare and nursing care workers in local communities and to keep transportation available to people who have difficulty getting around. The e-Atrai demonstration also shows how an electrified van's external power supply can run appliances away from a fixed power source, which matters to the communities and care providers Daihatsu says it serves.
