What Happened
Farizon, Geely's commercial-vehicle brand, used the IAA Transportation show in Hanover to lay out its next steps in Europe. The manufacturer announced cooperation agreements with six companies, and representatives of all of them came on stage to accept cooperation certificates. The announcement was made at the company's Afternoon Tea event at the fair.

Farizon says it can already lean on early operating capacity in Europe. A central spare parts warehouse in Germany is up and running, and the company built a European engineering team during 2026. The next steps Farizon lists are a European headquarters and subsidiaries in Germany and France, alongside a review of further localisation options. According to Farizon, the brand's footprint already includes Britain, Serbia, Spain and the Benelux.
At the same event Xue set out a further development of the Farizon SV, with new batteries, upgraded electric motors and a 4x4 all-wheel-drive version. The four-wheel-drive model is intended for tougher environments, including snow, rough tracks and mountain routes. Working with European body companies, Farizon also outlined three planned SV uses: passenger transport, chilled-goods vehicles and wheelchair-accessible conversions, all enabled by the flat platform. The aim is to tailor the range to the differing needs of European customers.

Why this matters
Farizon is the commercial-vehicle brand of China's Geely group, and the announcement shows it building its own European structures rather than only selling vehicles there. The named partners, plus a planned European headquarters and companies in Germany and France, point to a local support and sales setup that matters to European customers and to the suppliers and service firms working with the brand.
