What Happened
VinFast and its local partner Xe Nhanh Viet Nam agreed to a 3,000-vehicle electric fleet order for Green SM, the ride-hailing platform operated within Vietnam’s electric-mobility ecosystem.
Green SM plans to deploy the cars in Ho Chi Minh City, in territory that includes the former Binh Duong area, and in the provinces of Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. Delivery is planned by 2027.
The proposed mix starts with the Herio Green and VF 5, alongside the Limo Green. VinFast’s EC Van and Minio Green complete the five-model set, covering small urban cars, a commercial van and larger passenger vehicles for different ride-hailing uses.
A Vingroup release identifies Hanoi as the signing venue and sets out the public transaction. The arrangement connects VinFast’s domestic vehicle range to a multi-location fleet rollout rather than a single retail launch.
Why this matters
The fleet agreement gives VinFast a defined commercial channel for five electric models while expanding the company’s operating footprint in Vietnam’s growing ride-hailing market.
