What Happened
MAN Truck & Bus has put five fully electric MAN eTGX trucks into operation with logistics partner JS Logistics. The vehicles are used for inbound transport of supplier parts from Hungary to MAN production plants in Germany, covering routes such as Lébény to Munich (520 km) and from Györ to Munich, as well as through the Kirkel logistics center in Germany.
The initiative is part of a broader program to decarbonize MAN's inbound logistics. Since fall 2024, MAN has been integrating battery-electric trucks into its network, aiming to deploy around 50 electric trucks by mid-2026 and expand charging infrastructure at its plants and service locations.

MAN aims to have about 50 electric trucks in inbound logistics.
“With the deployment of the eTGX in our own production logistics, together with strong partners, we show that emission-free heavy-duty transport already works in real-world operations.”
“Integrating the fully electric MAN eTGX into our transport processes is a milestone for our company. Together with MAN, we are shaping sustainable logistics solutions and gaining valuable experience in cross-border electric mobility.”
Why this matters
The deployment shows that zero-emission heavy-duty trucks can work in real-world logistics, reducing CO2 emissions in supply chains.
