What Happened
Rimac Technology and the BMW Group have announced a production vehicle emerging from their technology partnership, established in 2023. The new BMW i7 will be the first BMW Group BEV to feature a jointly developed battery system, combining BMW's Gen6 4695 cylindrical cells with its Gen5 module-based technology into a scalable architecture. The vehicle will make its world premiere at Auto China 2026 in Beijing on April 22.
