Tesla has added an all-wheel-drive Performance trim to the China Model Y range, quoting a 3.5-second sprint and 659-kilometer CLTC range.

What Happened
Tesla has opened the China market to a fifth Model Y configuration, with the Performance all-wheel-drive version listed at 369,000 yuan and delivery estimates of two to six weeks. The company announced the addition on Weibo and listed it on its Chinese website.

Tesla quotes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.5 seconds, a 250 km/h top speed and 659 km of CLTC range. The five-seat trim uses 21-inch wheels, sport seats, carbon-fiber exterior and cabin elements, adaptive suspension and performance-focused drive settings.
The launch follows a 25.76% annual fall in Model Y deliveries to 29,260 vehicles in August, according to CPCA figures compiled by CnEVPost. Tesla is separately offering a 10,000-yuan reduction on qualifying stock cars delivered by September 30.
