Scania is showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for safe and sustainable urban environments at IFAT 2026 in Munich. The portfolio includes electrification, biofuels, and a range of versatile combustion engines designed to support municipalities in their efforts toward a sustainable future.
“This year, Scania brings a full offering to IFAT. We present a full offering for all municipal needs including extremely fuel-efficient diesel engines, running also on HVO and biodiesel, gas engines for bio-methane as well as battery electric solutions. This enables customers to choose the energy source that best suits their needs. Basically, it’s one Scania, all the solutions.”
- Bio-Methane refuse collector: L 280 B6x2*4 biogas-powered truck with tanks for compressed gas, body from FAUN.
- BEV for applications: Scania 36P 4x2 with 360 kW e-machine, factory adapted for road sweepers, body from FAUN.
- BEV for tight urban operations: Scania 40P 6x2*4 with 400 kW e-machine and 445 kWh battery, skip loader body from Meiller.
- BEV for bodybuilders: Scania 27P 6x2*4 with 270 kW e-machine, adapted for crane installations.
Scania also emphasizes safety with its L-series and P-series cabs, which achieved the highest Euro NCAP rating in the Safer Trucks programme and earned the City Safe award. These cabs are designed for excellent direct vision, crucial for urban operations.
