What Happened
Scania and transport operator VR have signed a major agreement for 91 battery-electric buses to serve the Södertälje and Nykvarn areas. The order follows VR winning a contract from local authority SL in 2025. Scania's buses will be built and assembled at its headquarters in Södertälje, with service beginning in June 2027.
