Startup Epic Septic Uses Mack MD6 Trucks to Modernize Septic Service
$1 million
2 trucks, 3 employees
100 trucks in 2-3 years
What Happened
Epic Septic & Service was founded in 2025 by brothers-in-law Chad Riddersen and Kyle Voss, who saw an opportunity to refresh the septic industry's image. They launched with one Mack MD6 and quickly expanded to two trucks and three employees within the first month. The company now plans to deploy up to 100 Mack MD trucks over the next two to three years through its Epic Operator Franchise program.
Voss, a Marine Corps artillery captain and former professional football player, emphasized the importance of truck reliability and appearance: 'A Mack MD6 with a 2,500-gallon aluminum tank is the Swiss Army knife to complete 99% of septic calls we get.' The trucks are also B20 biodiesel compatible, and Epic Septic collects restaurant grease to convert into biofuel, creating a circular sustainability model.
“Our trucks are effectively billboards on wheels, so we embrace an idea we call 'parketing'. About 20% of our business leads come directly from people seeing our truck.”
