What Happened
Subaru's domestic production fell 22.6% to 39,694 units, its first decrease in two months. In contrast, overseas production increased 5.5% to 30,801 units, also its first rise in two months. Global production totaled 70,495 units, down 12.4% year-over-year.
In Japan, total sales dropped 20.4% to 8,323 vehicles, with passenger vehicle sales down 25.5% but mini vehicle sales up 19.8%. Exports fell 23.7% to 32,992 units, the first decline in two months.
