What Happened
Solaris has obtained Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for three modular-drive electric bus models: the Solaris Urbino 10.5 electric, Urbino 12 electric, and Urbino 18 electric. These verified datasets cover the entire vehicle life cycle, from raw material extraction through operation to end-of-life treatment, enabling precise measurement of emissions, energy consumption, and recycling potential.
The EPDs are developed in accordance with ISO 14025 standards and Product Category Rules for city and intercity buses. The underlying Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) also considers the energy mix of the country where the bus operates, helping identify optimization areas in supply chain, manufacturing, and vehicle energy efficiency.
96% to nearly 98%
Depending on the model, the high recyclability confirms the buses' circular economy potential.

Why this matters
EPDs help public transport operators choose vehicles based on environmental impact, not just cost or performance, supporting greener procurement.
