To extend the logistics chain from long-haul transport to inner cities, Valeo is leveraging its automotive DNA for last-mile delivery with Cyclee™. The GO7 Gen4 Drive Unit is a maintenance-free system that combines a 48V motor and a 7-speed automatic gearbox in a single enclosed block, delivering 130 Nm of torque and up to 1,000W of peak power. It can move up to 250 kg of commercial cargo, with a predictive mode that acts like a digital co-pilot, shifting gears based on real-time topography and rider input. The new PixelRide HMI adds a 2-inch tactile display, a thumb-activated 'Boost' for heavy take-offs, and an encrypted 'Phone as a Key' Bluetooth function that mechanically locks the drivetrain.
Valeo is also broadening its aftermarket remanufacturing range, which now features more than 6,000 references across four categories: starters and alternators, brake calipers, air conditioning compressors, and transmission parts, including clutches and pneumatic concentric actuators for commercial vehicles. The company recently accelerated its REMAN 2.0 program to include electronic parts such as NOx sensors and electrification parts such as inverters and EDCs. Valeo aims to reuse more than 80% of materials on average and drastically reduce CO2 emissions, delivering 'as good as new' quality at an attractive cost.
