On May 22, 2026, Continental celebrated the second expansion phase of its Rayong plant and the start of radial motorcycle tire production. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and high automation, producing radial and diagonal tires for different rider segments. All production steps, from rubber compounding to finished tire, are done in-house under global quality standards.
“By expanding our facility in Thailand, we are strategically strengthening our global production structure for Continental Motorcycle Tires. Together with our established operations in our Korbach plant in Germany, we are laying the groundwork for a faster, more flexible response to market demands.”

The Rayong plant covers about 13% of its electricity needs from solar energy.
The plant received IATF certification in March 2026, confirming its adherence to international automotive standards and boosting confidence among original equipment customers. Continental also emphasized automation and quality control, with every tire fully traceable and monitored by online systems.
Why this matters
The expansion strengthens Continental's global production network, enabling faster response to market demand, creating jobs, and using renewable energy.
