What Happened

In Round 10 of the Formula E season in Monaco, Mahindra Racing drivers Edoardo Mortara and Nyck de Vries both scored points. Mortara qualified third but received a 10-second penalty for contact with António Félix da Costa, crossing the line second on the road but classified fifth. De Vries started 15th and climbed to ninth through energy conservation and Attack Mode use. The double points haul kept Mahindra Racing third in the Teams' Standings, with Mortara third in the Drivers' Championship and de Vries moving into the top ten.

We got a penalty for the contact with Antonio spinning around while we were fighting with Jean-Eric Vergne. I apologise to Antonio for what happened, but Formula E is full of these moments where you're side by side and if you push a few centimetres too much then you can cause chaos. Unfortunately, that cost us a podium here in Monaco. On the positive side, we showed we had a good car.
