MAN Truck & Bus Premieres Chassis Solutions at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026
2026
What Happened
MAN Truck & Bus made its debut at the Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 trade show in Jakarta from May 20 to 22, presenting its MAN Lion's Chassis CO (RR4) and a double-decker bus built on that chassis. The exhibition, organized with local partner Inframach, marks a key step in MAN's internationalization of its bus business beyond Europe.
“The vehicle is an excellent example of the successful interplay of MAN technology and local bodybuilding expertise.”
Unlike in Europe, where MAN sells complete buses, in global markets it focuses on chassis supply. Certified local bodybuilders then complete the vehicles. This allows MAN to adapt to regional needs and expand in emerging markets.
“The Lion's Chassis CO is designed to support a wide range of bus bodies, offering a flexible foundation tailored to local operating conditions and customer requirements, with a special focus on advanced safety features.”
Why this matters
The move highlights MAN's strategy to grow outside Europe by partnering with local bodybuilders like New Armada and Inframach to meet regional demand for high-quality buses.
