What Happened
Maserati marked what it describes as a new chapter in India with the formal launch of Navnit Maserati in Mumbai, the introduction of the updated Grecale, GranTurismo and GranCabrio range and the India debut of the GT2 Stradale. The event was held at Grand Hyatt Mumbai and led by Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo CEO and Maserati CEO, during his first visit to India. Building on a partnership announced earlier this year, Ficili and Sharad Kachalia, Chairman and Managing Director of Navnit Maserati, presented their shared vision for Maserati in Mumbai and Western India. The Navnit Maserati showroom at Trade Centre, BKC, will serve as the brand's primary retail hub for the region, offering the complete Maserati portfolio, manufacturer-approved aftersales service and a dedicated Fuoriserie configuration area for bespoke personalisation.
- New Grecale: sharper front-end design aligned with the MCPURA, a new 390-hp Nettuno-derived V6 option and improved range for the Folgore electric version.
- New GranTurismo and GranCabrio: revised exterior styling with a more aggressive front end, up to 590 hp from the V6 Nettuno in Trofeo specification and an 80 km WLTP range increase for the Folgore to over 540 km.
- Enhanced cabin: a new racing-inspired steering wheel, updated Maserati Digital Clock with octagonal bezel, redesigned PRND selector and improved digital interfaces across the range.
- Fuoriserie personalisation: expanded colour and trim options including new exterior colours and coordinated badges, with the GranCabrio's soft top now available for full Bespoke customisation.
- Maserati GT2 Stradale: the road-legal version of the GT2 arrives in India for the first time and is on display alongside the new line-up.

“India represents one of the most important growth markets for Maserati, and our commitment to the country is stronger than ever. The celebration of this new partnership, together with the introduction of our updated Trident range, underlines our confidence in the Indian luxury segment and our ambition to offer clients an ownership experience that reflects the very best of Italian Granturismo.”
“Our strategy in India is focused on sustainable growth, selective network expansion and an elevated client experience. Opening our doors in Mumbai with Navnit Maserati gives us a stronger foundation to serve clients across Western India. From day one, Fuoriserie will be part of that experience, allowing clients to express their individuality through a personal choice of colours, materials and finishes. With our updated model range and Santo Ficili's visit, this opening represents an important step in our long-term investment in India.”
The GT2 Stradale carries the GT2's racing programme onto the road and sends 640 hp from its Nettuno V6 to the rear wheels. It is built in Modena and sits at the top of the range alongside the MCPURA family, giving Indian enthusiasts a first look at the most track-focused car in the Trident line-up. Maserati said its arrival shows the brand's intent to bring its most driver-focused offering to the Indian market. During his visit, Ficili also met key dealer partners, reviewed India market strategy and interacted with media and clients.

The GT2 Stradale at the centre of this India debut has featured in several recent Maserati announcements. In mid-October, a collector-commissioned GT2 Stradale Fuoriserie was shown at the Villa La Massa Excellence concours near Florence, and the GT2 race car swept both GT America races in its series debut at Indianapolis. Maserati Corse also unveiled project Track Assist by AS.CAR.I, a digital track-driving trainer due in 2027 that was shown on the GT2 Stradale.

Why this matters
Maserati's CEO calls India one of the brand's most important growth markets, so the Mumbai opening gives buyers in Western India a permanent retail and aftersales hub alongside the new models. The event also brings the 640-hp GT2 Stradale to Indian enthusiasts for the first time and makes Fuoriserie personalisation part of the ownership offer from day one.
