What Happened

Mercedes-AMG Motorsport secured its 1,000th overall victory since the launch of its Customer Racing Programme in 2010. The landmark win came at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, where Vincent Iogna (FRA) and Team KRT won Friday evening's first race of the Ultimate GT Sprint Cup. Driving the #2 Mercedes-AMG GT3, Iogna started from pole position, set the fastest lap, and won by a margin of around 48.6 seconds. He followed up with a second-place finish in Saturday's race.
