What Happened
MG reported more than 42,000 locked customer orders for the MG 07 between its August 21 launch and September 10. That is about 11,000 more orders than the 31,000 reported after the model's first 11 days on sale.
The sedan's temporary China pricing runs from 105,900 yuan to 156,900 yuan through September 30. Its standard list range is 108,900 yuan to 159,900 yuan, and buyers can choose from seven battery-electric or plug-in hybrid versions.
The longest-range battery-electric trim uses an 800-volt system, a 91-kWh battery and 5C charging, with a stated CLTC range of 845 kilometers. In the PHEV, the claimed electric distance is 245 kilometers under CLTC testing, while the combined figure reaches 1,745 kilometers.
