Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has launched the Wagon R FFV, Suzuki's first flex-fuel automobile. The car was unveiled at a hotel in New Delhi in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri. Mass production of flex-fuel vehicles marks a first in the Indian automotive industry.
Flex-fuel vehicles can operate on any blend of ethanol and petrol, helping to reduce particulate matter emissions and improve local air quality. Suzuki is advancing diverse environmental technologies, including hybrids, BEVs, CNG/CBG vehicles, and now flex-fuel, tailoring solutions to regional conditions.
