What Happened
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, celebrated 20 years since starting production at its Gurugram plant in 2006. The ceremony took place at the India International Convention and Expo Centre in New Delhi on April 22, 2026, with around 1,200 attendees including dealers and partners. SMIPL has produced models like the ACCESS and GIXXER series, and recently launched Suzuki's first global strategic BEV motorcycle, the e-ACCESS, as well as models capable of running on up to 85% ethanol fuel.
