What Happened
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) and its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have begun operations at their new manufacturing facility in Panapakkam, Ranipet district, Tamil Nadu. The plant was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, with the first vehicle produced being the locally manufactured Range Rover Evoque. The facility is a greenfield plant designed for next-generation vehicles, including electric vehicles, for both TMPV and JLR brands.
