What Happened
At the Bus2Bus trade fair in Berlin, ZF's Commercial Vehicle Solutions division is presenting its latest technologies for safer, smarter, and emission-free bus transportation. The company is debuting a driveline condition monitoring software for its electric portal axle, along with new electric drivelines.
380 kW continuous powerkW
Delivering at least 94.5% efficiency for demanding long-distance duty cycles.
The new driveline condition monitoring and predictive maintenance software is available for ZF's AxTrax 2 LF portal axle. It analyzes e-drive data to enable early fault detection, improving vehicle availability and lowering total operating costs for fleets and manufacturers.
ZF is also showcasing the next-generation rear driven axle, the A134, designed for higher weight and torque demands of upcoming bus platforms. The axle offers improved energy recovery, reduced weight, and integration flexibility, contributing to higher vehicle efficiency.
Why this matters
These technologies aim to improve bus fleet efficiency, reduce operating costs, and support the shift toward zero-emission public transportation.
