All-New Mack Granite Cab Raises the Bar for Vocational Driver Comfort

30 professional drivers
What Happened
The all-new Mack Granite cab was developed with input from more than 30 professional drivers through an unbiased clinic at Virginia Tech. Features include a wider cab profile, premium wide-based seat, intuitive controls, and a reinforced accessory rail for mounting ELDs and as a grab bar. The interior also boasts a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and optional nine-inch infotainment display.
“Drivers are the heart of every vocational operation, and they are getting harder to find and harder to keep. With the all-new Granite, we set out to build a cab that drivers want to come back to every day.”
Comfort technologies include Mack Command Steer with up to 85% reduction in steering effort, now available in axle-forward and axle-back configurations. The MaxRide Air rear suspension with eight tuned airbags delivers the smoothest ride in any Granite to date. An available premium air-shock seat adds heating, cooling and massage functions to reduce driver fatigue.

“Vocational drivers are running their trucks through some of the toughest conditions on the road, and the cab is where they spend their day. With the all-new Granite, we focused on the details that matter most to drivers – the room to move, the controls in the right place, the seat that supports them through a long shift.”
Why this matters
With a driver shortage in vocational trucking, Mack's all-new Granite cab focuses on comfort and ergonomics to attract and retain drivers, potentially improving productivity and safety.
