Aptiv Reports Record Q1 Revenue and Adjusted EPS After EDS Spin-off
$5.1 billion
$752 million
-$362 million
What Happened
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Aptiv's GAAP revenue rose to $5.1 billion, driven by growth in North America (7%), Asia Pacific (3%), and South America (7%), partially offset by a 7% decline in EMEA. Adjusted EBITDA was $752 million, a slight decrease from $758 million in the prior year, with margin narrowing to 14.8% from 15.7% due to higher commodity costs and unfavorable currency exchange.
“We continued Aptiv’s strategic evolution with the successful spin-off of our EDS business as Versigent on April 1. Our value proposition is now even stronger, with a sharper focus on enabling devices and systems to sense, think, act, and optimize across industries.”
The company redeemed $266 million in senior notes during the quarter and repurchased 1.0 million shares for $75 million. For the second quarter of 2026, Aptiv expects net sales between $3.2 billion and $3.4 billion, excluding the EDS business, and full-year 2026 net sales of $12.8 billion to $13.2 billion.
$1.71per diluted share

Why this matters
Aptiv's strong quarterly results and strategic separation of its EDS unit mark a shift toward a more focused technology company, with increased free cash flow expected to drive future value creation.
