Ashok Leyland inaugurated a new greenfield factory at Sarojini Nagar Industrial near Lucknow Airport on January 9, 2026. Spanning 70 acres, the plant is the company's most advanced and sustainable facility globally, with a primary focus on electric vehicle production. It has an annual capacity of 5,000 vehicles and employs a significant percentage of women, most from Uttar Pradesh.
