Aston Martin and Brough Superior reveal AMB 002 Roadster, their first road-legal motorcycle

At its heart sits an all-new 1083cc four-stroke water-cooled V-Twin developing 130bhp and 110 Nm of torque, tuned for strong low and mid-range torque with a smooth and thrilling top-end. The engine is designed, machined and assembled in-house at Brough Superior's headquarters in Toulouse, France, and uses CNC-machined billet engine cases optimised for weight reduction and structural efficiency. It sits within an extraordinary titanium frame milled from a solid billet to form a structural spine, a feature of Brough Superior's backbone architecture, weighing just 5kg and helping achieve a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The bike weighs just 190kg, and carbon fibre body panels and the fuel tank help create an exceptionally low centre of gravity and a centralised mass for balance and agility. The AMB 002 also uses the distinctive double-wishbone 'Fior fork' front suspension, an evolution of the system developed for the AMB 001 Pro, which separates steering and braking forces and whose anti-dive characteristics give stability under braking, especially when braking while leaned over into a corner.
